Gratitude

IMG_0567In the midst of my stressing and grumbling about life, I stopped myself and realized this week is about being extra grateful for all that I have and wow do I have so much to be grateful for!! I’m actually brought to tears when I think about all the good I have in my life. This year has been one I can’t even begin to describe in words but grateful is right up there on the list of ways!

What am I most grateful for this year?

I thought about it for a moment. I didn’t want to write down the generic answers we so often give. I wanted to dig deeper than that. Sure, I’m thankful for a roof over my head,  food on the table, my family, friends and my health, but there is so much more than that. Am I right?!

I’m thankful for the people…the ones that have walked into my life and the ones that have walked out; yes as crazy as it may sound I’m thankful for them too. Each one has held a purpose in my life and I’m grateful for the ones that stand next to me daily.

I’m thankful for my co-workers that are not just co-workers but friends that have turned into more like family and have shown me grace, support, and encouragement that does not go unnoticed.

I’m thankful for every opportunity I have been given this past year. God continues to open doors for me and I’m continually amazed by each blessing.

I’m thankful for dreams, actual dreams, bucket list items, crazy, jaw dropping-what is life- pinch me moments that I have gotten to experience this year!

I’m thankful for a mother that listens to countless hours of me ramble on about something she usually has no idea what I’m talking about and deals with me on days no one would want to, but she does it anyway because she loves me. Her patience surpasses it all!

I’m thankful for a God that loves me on the days I’m a train wreck, thinks I’m always enough, and gives me grace upon grace daily.

I’m thankful for the cozy nights at home spent with a hot drink in hand, watching my favorite shows, writing, and creating.

I’m thankful for YOU! Yes, you! Each and every one of you that takes the time to read whatever it is I might have to say.  I’m so grateful for you more than you know!

What are you most grateful for this year??

I want to hear what all you have been blessed with this year! Happy Thanksgiving friends! I hope you have such an amazing day with family and friends!!
