Liebster Award

Such an incredible honor to have been nominated for The Liebster Award by my sweet friend and fellow blogger, Jillian!

The Liebster Award is an online award to recognize bloggers that started back in 2011. It has been passed on by blogger to fellow blogger as a show of support as well recognizing them for their valued and amazing work. Once a blog is nominated, the blogger is asked to answer 11 questions provided by the nominating blogger. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. And I can’t think of a better way to describe Jillian than those words right there! If I could nominate you back, I would.

She chose 11 questions for me to answer below:

1.) What started your blogging journey?  I was in a place in life where I was in need of something good I could pour myself into. I wanted a space that would allow me to be creative and encourage and inspire others along the way.

2.) Who is your favorite celebrity icon?  Marilyn Monroe. She was beautiful and talented and definitely iconic!

3.) Favorite junk food?  Pizza. I could eat it every day.

4.) What is your favorite thing about your own personality? I like that I’m a little bit more reserved but with a tiny bit of sass on just the right day and I don’t need or care to be the center of the party.

5.) What’s the one toiletry/makeup item you’d never want to be without?  Do I have to choose just one?? Okay, I’m going to choose Vaseline because it seriously is the miracle worker for all things and if I could choose a second I’d pick my primer because it makes all the difference in how my makeup looks.

6.) Stuck on an island for a year, what 3 things do you take with you?  Sunscreen, a journal, and an endless supply of coffee.

7.) Coca-Cola or Pepsi?  Well, I rarely drink soda but if I had to choose I’d pick Pepsi.

8.) Best advice you’ve ever been given?  Do what you can, with what you’ve got, right where you are.

9.) Would you choose a trip to Paris or to London?  Both places are on my list but if I had to choose I think I’d pick Paris!

10.) Where do you see yourself in 3 years?  Truthfully, I’m not sure where I see myself because right now it feels like the sky’s the limit and and anything can happen in 3 years, but I hope that I’m living out my dreams with some amazing people by my side!

11.) Favorite movie and television show?  The Bachelor/Bachelorette- I’ve watched almost every season. I’m a little obsessed with the show and I’m highly opinionated about it! Haha!

I’m passing this award over to my sweet blogger friend, Courtney, that I met this past year! She has been such an encouragement to me! Everyone says it, but it’s true that one of the best things about being a part of the blogging community is the people and friendships you make a long the way. This girl’s style is outstanding and she is as sweet as they come!
