Numbers

Never did I ever imagine myself working in the field of finance. I’m a girly girl that loves fashion and hates numbers.

But it was never meant to be about the numbers.

No, it was always meant to be about the people I share a space with. It’s about their lives and their families that have become a little like my family. On my best days they are the people cheering me on and on my worst days they are the ones asking if I’m okay. It was meant to be about the clients that walk through the door that entrust us with a portion of their lives and their futures.

It was never meant to be about the numbers.

I recently hit three years in the finance world. I never thought I’d say that phrase or imagined this is where I would be. I can now talk investment jargon with the best of them and tell you all 27 forms required to open up an IRA. Okay, I exaggerate a little, but if you have every filled out paperwork to start investing you know what I’m talking about. 😉 I will soon switch positions in the firm to move on and take on a new role, one that will likely stretch me and at times push me outside my comfort zone but one that will grow me in the best way.

But none of that really matters, because you see it was never really meant to about the numbers.

It was always about so much more, so much bigger.

God had a purpose for bringing me here. A hundred times over I fought him on what that purpose was because it wasn’t what I wanted it to be. Sometimes God puts you in the least likely place you’d ever see yourself. Maybe that’s you and you’re fighting to make sense of it all. You’re in a place outside your comfort zone. You’re on unfamiliar ground. Nothing about it makes sense, but God knows and He brought you there because He sees the bigger picture.

Maybe you have to look deeper than the numbers to see your purpose was there all along.

If you are in a place of questioning, hit summit below! I’d love to encourage you right where you are!

Keep shining, A. Flavio
