Contrary to popular belief about bloggers, I HATE being in front of the camera.
Hundreds of photos get deleted before I finally land on one I think is semi acceptable to be posted on social media. I’m always awkward. I never know what to do with my hands or how to smile.
Delete, delete, delete.
I cringe when I look at them and hold my breathe when I hit publish. Some photo shoots never even make it to social media or the blog, they just go straight to the recycling bin. As a blogger, I push myself to take the photos because that’s part of the gig, right?! People want to see you, they want to know you and your style and what makes your heart come alive.
I share this with you because maybe you struggle too. Or maybe that’s not your struggle but maybe you walk in front of the mirror each day and look away quickly because you don’t love what you see staring back at you. Maybe you continually tell yourself you’re not enough.
I’m striving to have a little more grace with myself and a lot more love for the parts of me I wish I could change. I’m striving to believe that in every photo whether it hits Instagram or goes straight to the recycling bin, I’m already enough and I hope today you believe that about yourself too. 🖤
