After a jammed packed, on the go, and a little crazy couple of months, I’m sitting down to soak in the calm for a minute…
It’s a quiet Sunday afternoon with no obligations and no place I have to be, so I found a little nook inside a coffee shop and took in all the views and the smells. I put my pen to my paper and I wrote…
I’ve spent the last few months traveling mostly on the weekends. I’ve loved just about every minute of it! I’ve caught up with old friends, made new friends, laughed a lot, cried a little, reminisced about the past, made plans for the future, greeted faces I hadn’t seen in months or even years, and said a few goodbye- see ya- laters!
I knew going into the weeks ahead that I had probably taken on more than I had energy for. I’m not as young as I think I am anymore, but that never seems to stop me. I’m usually pretty good at not overloading my plate and knowing when to say no to certain things. However, opportunity after opportunity came up and I couldn’t make myself say no to any of them. Something told me I just needed to say yes and the rest would fall into place. I wasn’t even sure how I was going to make some of it all work but I believed each opportunity was given to me for a reason so I knew God would work it all out for me somehow.
And that He did, every step of the way!
So my little planner self tried to stay super organized. I took one week at a time and I took advantage of every waking hour of the day to get things done for the next week ahead.
And let me tell you, it was all worth it!
I wish I could write down all the conversations I had with people and every encouraging word that was said to me. I felt showered by so much love!
One of my favorite parts was always the drive back home after the weekend, eager to get home and in my bed, but soaking up my alone time in the car reflecting back on the weekend. So many times I wished I had pulled over right then and wrote my thoughts all down. I left each journey with my cup filled up, so inspired, my heart full, and ready to work on some amazing ideas for the future!
This is why I do what I do! As crazy or exhausting it may be sometimes, it’s always about the people, the relationships formed, the hearts shared. It’s about you all, my faithful readers on the other side of this screen. I want you to know how important you are, how loved you are, how there is always light at the end of the tunnel. I want you to be encouraged to run after what you love the most and be inspired to live out exactly who God created you to be. And that’s why I will continue to write, to travel, to occasionally put way too many things on my plate, and to show up in this space because YOU MATTER! 🖤
It will always be about the people.
Where are you at in your life today? Are you the one that’s feeling inspired or you the one that needs a little inspiring? Leave a note in the comments below. I’d love to chat with you, get to know you , or grab coffee! As always….
