Clothe Your Neighbor as Yourself

I love supporting a brand or organization that is on a mission to do more good in this world! We need more of that! Am I right?!  I first learned about CYNY when my girl, @jessymk posted about what they were doing on social media a few months back. I immediately checked them out and decided this was a cause I wanted to be a part of and stand behind!

What is CYNY?

CYNY stands for Clothe Your Neighbor as Yourself.

They are a nonprofit movement that exists to make poverty personal by serving as a voice for those in need and encouraging others to empower them.

Their vision is to reimagine poverty. Their vision is to not only work toward alleviating poverty but to genuinely know those that are experiencing it. At cyny they believe that when you see the world, your worldview changes. That’s why every person who donates receives an Impact Kit. Inside, you’ll find a pretty, silver necklace stamped with the coordinates of where the child you’ve sponsored is sitting in class. How cool is that?! In addition to that, you’ll also receive a 360° headset that can be used along with their Neighborly° app and the Neighborly Manifesto Banner that you can display in your home as a daily reminder.

CYNY has helped over 9 thousand kids gain access to a quality education, in 4 countries, in 52 different villages, all while helping to create 18 jobs both in the developing world by making uniforms locally and here in the USA as well as  employing people that are transitioning from homelessness. That my friends, is a cause I want to be a part of!

Right now they are running a campaign that will give disadvantaged children in Olimpo, Mexico access to education by providing the uniform that’s required for them to attend school. Make a donation or visit their online shop with items made from all over the world. The best part is that 100% of your funds will always go directly towards the cause of putting a child in school.
