All in a Moment

There are moments in life that can break us, moments that can destroy us if we let them. Moments that can mold us and grow us into something beautiful. There are moments that ask a question and moments that provide the answer. Moments that seem endless and moments that vanish quickly.

Have you ever experienced one of those moments where you seem to feel every emotion all at once, to the point that you feel like you can’t breathe? You know the kind of moment that stops you in your tracks and you can’t move? And while your standing there feeling as though your world is spinning… in the chaos and confusion of the moment, you tell yourself just breathe, just breathe, just breathe…
A thousand thoughts race through your head and in a moment you have to decide whether your going to choose to let this break you or choose to power over it.

I was standing there. Just standing there. And to most probably appearing to look normal. It was in that small, unpredicted moment that took my breathe away. A moment of confusion, a moment of question, a moment that left me standing there. A moment that could either break me or make me, a moment when I realized, I know who I am!

I know the woman God created me to be. I know the struggles I’ve been through that have molded me and made me stronger. I know my flaws that continue to push me to want to be a better woman. I know my gifts that God has graciously given me and shown me. I know what makes my heart beat just a little bit faster. I know what’s quirky, weird, unique and different about me. I know who I am and I won’t apologize for that!

We spend so much time beating ourselves up for being something that we are not that we forget to embrace all that we are. I know who I am and I hope you know who you are too! But if you don’t, I encourage you to run fiercely after who you are until you have found exactly who God created you to be! Embrace the moment and be you!
