“There is no place like home”

It’s an old phrase but oh so true! This past weekend I went home to spend some time with my parents. There is just something about being at home that brings comfort and joy. It’s funny how when we are young we can’t wait to get away from home and go somewhere and try new things. Then, when we get older we get excited to go back home to what was once familiar. I now find it a treat to go home and spend time with my family. When I’m there I soak up the good home cooking, the relax time, and all the familiar things I used to do when I was younger. 🙂

My great friend said this to me while she was recently back at her home, “If only we could put all the things and people we love together in one place.” Isn’t that the truth?! There are things that I love about my life in Missouri, but there are also so many things I love about “home”. If only we could just magically put all those things together in one place; how perfect that would be!! What are some of your favorite things to do while you’re home??

  1. I totally agree, April! It’s nice to have ties to our childhoods. Hope we can both go “home” at the same time again soon. Can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since the last time we were able to!
